Recently I hosted an in-house event where we created 6 beautiful cards using the Radiant Reminders Kit — and they turned out absolutely fantastic!
The best part? We used up almost everything in the kit… just a few tiny cut-off remnants left behind. I love showing how far you can stretch a kit and still end up with stunning results. Would you have guessed you could get 6 cards out of it?!
Such a great kit — be sure to add it to your shopping cart when you shop with me!

It’s All in the Details
Do watercolor pencils feel a little intimidating? You’re not alone. Many crafters love the idea of soft shading and delicate details but aren’t sure where to start. The good news is that watercolor pencils are far more forgiving than they look—and once you start playing with them, they quickly become a favorite tool.
Watercolor pencils let you add depth, highlights, and subtle blending to your projects without the mess of traditional paints. You can use them dry for precise coloring or add a touch of water to create beautiful, painterly effects. It’s all about experimenting and discovering what works best for your style.
The key is simple: just start. Try light layers, blend slowly, and don’t worry about perfection. Every project is a chance to learn something new and build your confidence.
If you’d like a little guidance along the way, be sure to downloadable class HERE and make the most of your watercolor pencils. Because sometimes, it really is all in the details. Ready to purchase watercolor pencils? CLICK HERE
While it’s always bittersweet, the 2024–2026 In Colors will soon be making their exit to welcome the next wave of creativity. This includes coordinating ink pads, cardstock, Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Blends, gems, and ribbons.

The Radiant Reminders Kit is arriving on March 3rd, and the moment I saw it, I knew it was going to be a favourite—especially for card makers who love to stretch their supplies.
This kit is absolutely perfect for card alternatives. The beautiful butterflies, layered elements, and fresh colour palette offer so much creative potential beyond the projects included in the box. It’s the kind of kit that invites you to experiment, reimagine, and create cards that truly feel your own.

Today I’m sharing a card design that is all about pattern play, soft colour, and a fun fold that looks fancy but is surprisingly easy to create — the Painted Illusions Criss-Cross Card. This design is perfect for showing off multiple patterns from the Painted Illusions Designer Series Paper. Because the card front is divided into angled sections, you get to highlight several designs at once without the card feeling busy. It’s one of those layouts that does the work for you!
Why I Love This Criss-Cross Design... It’s a great scrap-buster — perfect for using smaller DSP pieces and the angled panels add movement and interest. It works beautifully with florals, abstracts, or bold patterns. You can dress it up or keep it simple
The criss-cross panels frame the focal image beautifully, drawing your eye right to the centre of the card. I added a stamped floral image layered with soft colouring and just a touch of embellishment for subtle sparkle. A simple greeting finishes it off without overpowering the design.
